Power Panther Pals is....

an 8-week health education program for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students to increase their fruit and vegetable consumption and
physical activity

Power Panther Pals has been updated this year to include a number of new and exciting additions! Each week's lesson plan includes "6th Grader Extras." Participating 6th grade classrooms may find that these "extra" activities are more developmentally appropriate for their students than the standard Power Panther Pals activities. Aspects of another successful program Kids a Cookin' have also been incorporated into Power Panther Pals this year. Kids a Cookin' is a K-State Research & Extension program designed to share the fun and skills of cooking with children and those who guide them. The Kids a Cookin' activities included in Power Panther Pals are all able to be completed in a classroom setting and emphasize consumption of fruits and vegetables.
