Allison Gilmore M.S., ATC
Team Nutrition Coordinator |
"I received my Bachelors degree in Athletic Training from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. I then made my way to Kansas and received my Masters degree in Health and Physical Education from Emporia State University. I was a faculty member in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation department at Emporia State before coming here to Team Nutrition in May of 2006.
I want to help schools find ways to incorporate health education and physical activity into the regular school day. Healthy students learn better, and healthy teachers are excellent role models. My goal is to ensure that Team Nutrition is meeting the needs of Kansas' students and teachers as they make healthy changes and implement their wellness policies."
Allison is the project director for Team Nutrition and is the grant coordinator for several USDA grants. She also works with Body Venture and the Eat, Exercise, Excel! program.

Frances (Franny) Eastwood MS, MPH, RD, LD
Team Nutrition Consultant |
"Hi! I am Frances (Franny) Eastwood and I am a Registered Dietitian and most importantly a mom. I live in Centerville, Kansas with my husband and our son, who was born in June 2006. I received a Bachelors degree in dietetics from Kansas State University and went on to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for post-graduate work. In Knoxville, I earned a Masters degree in nutrition and a Masters degree in public health. I also completed a dietetic internship which allowed me to sit for the exam to become a Registered Dietitian. I have worked in many different settings including clinical nutrition, community nutrition, foodservice, and private consulting. Some of my favorite areas are nutrition education and school nutrition, which is why I love the Team Nutrition program. I have worked with Team Nutrition off and on since 2004 as grant coordinator and as a regional consultant."
